Skidmore Contemporary Art hosts solo shows for two Southern California-based realist painters

Screen Shot 2015-08-21 at 9.55.17 AMSkidmore Contemporary Art will host two simultaneous solo shows of Southern California-based realist painters, Eric Nash and Bradley Hankey. Eric Nash presents: City of Dreams. Bradley Hankey presents: California. In these solo shows the artists showcase their vision of the unique light and noir beauty that is Los Angeles and Southern California in a series of oil paintings.

Skidmore Contemporary Art, a leading Los Angeles gallery specializing in realism, is proud to host this event as a kick-off to the 2015-2016 Los Angeles art season. Show dates begin Saturday, Sept. 5 until October 3. The public is invited to the shows’ opening Saturday, Sept. 12 from 5 to 7 pm. And lastly, participate in the gallery’s Joint Artist Talk Saturday, Sept. 26th at 4 p.m.

Eric Nash and Bradley Hankey are contemporary California realist painters who use Southern California as their point of inspiration. Both artists are represented by Skidmore Contemporary Art.

Bradley Hankey uses his iPhone photos as inspiration for his iconic, saturated and moody Southern California square-format oil paintings. He has been featured worldwide on numerous art and lifestyle blogs showcasing his unique visions of Southern California. He is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston and he has lived in Los Angeles since 2009.

Eric Nash paints iconic moments of the LA experience. Mysterious and graphic, his oil paintings are often in large format. He has been featured in many solo shows and noted publications. He counts numerous prominent LA citizens and celebrities as collectors in addition to those around the globe. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois and he has lived in Los Angeles since 2000.
