Fans of The Simpsons are in for a treat at the Hollywood Bowl.

The Hollywood Bowl will be “Simpsonized” when the stars, creators, and special guests of “The Simpsons” come together for a huge 25th anniversary celebration over three nights next weekend.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, in conjunction with Gracie Films, will present the world premiere of “The Simpsons Take the Bowl” on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 12 and 13, at 8 pm and Sunday, Sept. 14, at 7:30 pm at the Hollywood Bowl.

The event, hosted by Hank Azaria, will feature special guest appearances by Nancy Cartwright, Beverly D’Angelo, Jon Lovitz, Yeardley Smith, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Conan O’Brien, and Matt Groening, with more to be announced.

In celebration of more than 25 seasons an
d 500 episodes, selected scenes and fan favorites from “The Simpsons” – the longest running scripted series on television – will be shown on the Bowl’s big screens.

Classic clips will be synchronized with live accompaniment by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, led by Principal Conductor Thomas Wilkins, with performances by special guests – including Cartwright and Smith (Bart and Lisa) – and behind-the-scenes anecdotes from Groening, the show’s creator.

From the moment fans enter the Bowl’s amphitheater, they will encounter an immersive, carnivalesque atmosphere, where secrets will be revealed, never-before-seen clips will be unveiled, and the world of Springfield will come to life.

Creator Matt Groening said having “The Simpsons” at the Hollywood Bowl was a dream come true.

“I’m going to be on stage tap dancing,” Groening said with a grin in a preview video on YouTube. “No, I won’t be doing that,” he joked.

Groening said there are going to be so many surprises, that he didn’t even know what they were yet.

Al Jean, an executive producer of “The Simpsons”, said the Hollywood Bowl was always a beautiful, magical setting.

“Everything that we’ve done we’ve approached from a viewpoint of what would fans want to see about the show and what would they like to see musically in connection with The Simpsons.”

Each evening will also feature fireworks.

Nestled snugly in the Hollywood Hills, the Hollywood Bowl is the largest natural amphitheater in the United States, located at 2301 N. Highland Ave., Los Angeles.

Tickets are available now at HollywoodBowl.com or Ticketmaster.com, or phone at 323.850.2000 or 800.745.3000.
