The Big Event is an annual fundraiser benefiting the Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles. This year’s “Champion of Children Awards” will pay tribute to the contributions of three outstanding men: Bob C. Aronoff, who founded the agency’s Scholarship Program, Louis B. Desser, Big Brother of the Year, and Barry Vigon, Director of Camp Max Straus.
Chaired by Brian J. Appel, Leslie Kavanaugh and Glen E. Kraemer, the event also marks the 96th anniversary of the agency. A keynote speaker will be Randy Schwab, the new President and CEO of JBBBSLA, home of Camp Max Straus.
