BOUND ANGELS is a 501(c)3 nonprofit agency that makes it ‘cool and sexy’ to care about, and advocate on behalf of, the rights of animals unable to fight for themselves.
On Friday, May 29, 2009, Malibu residents, GERALDINE GILLILAND and Producer ANNIE McGINN NISBET hosted the first annual fundraiser on behalf of BOUND ANGELS. Sponsors included PHILANTHROPIST CINDY LANDON, CHARLIE DiLORENZO of CHARLIE’S Restaurant in Malibu, the RIAV FOUNDATION, and BILAK ENTERPRISES, supporting this unique and lively Photographic Exhibit and Reception featuring ROBERTO CABRAL’s provocative and compelling photographs.
“We anticipated an intimate event for our first fundraiser, and were thrilled to have over 250 guests,†said Producer, NISBET, “The film presentation of BOUND ANGELS’ work left everyone visibly moved”. Attendees included actress KATHERINE ROSS, CALL 911 Producer TOM JENNINGS, and ED BOKS, L.A. Animal Shelter’s Executive Director.
Gilliland launched the BOUND ANGELS Signature Margaritaâ„¢ at the event, and a donation will be made to Bound Angels when any are purchased at her Santa Monica restaurants, LULA’s and FINN McCOOL’S. Event donors included ANHEUSER-BUSCH, COINTREAU, ROSANGELâ„¢ TEQUILA, RANCHO CIELO WINERY, GIOIA WINE, CELSIUS ENERGY DRINK, STELLA ARTOIS, with vegetarian hors d’oeuvres provided by GILLILAND.
