I’m not a coffee drinker, but I love to smell a fresh pot brewing when I wake up, because it reminds me of my dad, who always loves his hot cup of Joe first thing each morning. In fact, Dad savors his coffee all morning long, as he reads his paper and enjoys his well-earned retirement. So this year I got him the perfect gift, the Mr. Coffee 10-Cup Thermal Brew Coffeemaker.
The Mr. Coffee thermal coffeemaker is a terrific brewer, but as a bonus it also serves as a carafe, made of double-walled stainless steel, so it keeps coffee hot and fresh for hours, so Dad’s second, or third cup will taste as good as his first. The secret is a removable water reservoir to ensure the carafe isn’t cooled down prior to brewing.
My dad is a gadget guy, so he’ll appreciate the technology behind this hi-tech coffeemaker, with its sophisticated design that includes a water filtration system and a self-cleaning function, yet it is simple to use and easy to prep and clean.
Dad will also like the Pause ‘n Serve function, because sometime he just can’t wait for the full pot to brew, and when he heads out the door before the pot is done, he doesn’t have to worry, because it has an auto shut-off. As Dad always does his research and gets the best quality products, he would be proud that I selected the Mr. Coffee thermal coffeemaker, which is top of its class and beats out its competition in brewing coffee faster and hotter.
So when dad wakes up on Father’s Day, and everyday, he will have his hot mug of coffee in his hand, and even though I now live in Los Angeles, 3,000 miles away from him in Virginia, he’ll be thinking of me and how much I appreciate him, this Father’s Day and always.
The Mr. Coffee 10-Cup Thermal Brew Coffeemaker ($89.99) is available at Wal-Mart, Target and on mrcoffee.com.
