The Who’s North American tour is being delayed, with the band announcing today it is scrubbing upcoming shows in Los Angeles, Anaheim and San Diego because singer Roger Daltrey contracted an unspecified virus.
The Who had been set to open its tour Monday at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego. That show was canceled, along with the band’s planned Sept. 16 stop at the Honda Center in Anaheim and Sept. 21 show at Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.
A Sept. 19 show in Las Vegas was also canceled.
“The Who Hits 50” tour will now start Sept. 24 in Portland and is set to run through Dec. 13 in Oakland.
