Following the experiences of young Scout during a contentious period in Maycomb, Alabama, the play explores many of Harper Lee’s great themes, including the pervasive nature of hatred and injustice, as well as the overwhelming power of grace. With familiar characters like Atticus Finch and the striking dialogue of Lee’s novel, TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD is an evocative coming-of-age tale that still resonates today.
Mr. Gary Lee Reed directs. Reed most recently directed a production of BONNIE AND CLYDE: THE TWO-FISTED, SIX-GUN MUSICAL for Innovative Theatre Works in Bend, Oregon. His critically-acclaimed Actors Co-op production of GODSPELL garnered 22 different nominations and awards including Critic’s Choice in the Los Angeles Times, Pick of the Week in the LA Weekly and Critic’s Pick in Daily Variety.
TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD is produced by Beth Castle. The talented acting ensemble includes Geraldine Allen, David Atkinson, Joanne Atkinson, Zoe Calamar, Joe Colligan, Jim Custer, Tate Downing, Tannis Hanson, Montelle Harvey, Rhonda Kohl, Greg Martin, Sky McDougall, Letecia Moore, Liz Randall, Sy Richardson, Don Robb, David J.R.
