Tower Cancer Research Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to cutting edge cancer therapy and research, will host the first in a series of free symposiums on October 19. The 2010 Tower Oncology Fall Cancer Symposium – Advances in Breast Cancer Research and Treatment: A Multidisciplinary Panel Discussion – will take place from 6:30-8:30pm at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse on 445 N. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to pose questions to the panel and also be treated to free appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages.
“With October recognized as breast cancer awareness month, we felt this would be an ideal time to kick off our symposium series and help educate the community on breast cancer,†said Dr. Barry Rosenbloom, Managing Partner at Tower. “This symposium is for anyone who has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer, is currently being treated, or knows someone with breast cancer and is simply interested in learning more about the disease.â€
