United Way of Greater Los Angeles is gearing-up to host HomeWalk, a 5k walk to raise public awareness and fund solutions to end homelessness. All money raised from HomeWalk is distributed back into the community to fund rapid re-housing and permanent supportive housing solutions for homeless Angelenos.
Over the last two years, 8,000 people have walked, raising $1M and helping over 5,000 people off the streets.
The event will be hosted at Exposition Park in Los Angeles. Registration begins at 7 am; walk begins at 9 am. Registration is $35 which includes parking and a t-shirt. Children under 18 are free.
