The Los Angeles Planning commission unanimously approved the Westfield Group’s revised expansion plans after a four hour discussion at its meeting in November. The new development will be 39 stories tall versus the originally proposed 49 and will house 262 condominium units as well as stores and office space.
Commissioners recommend Westfield expansion be closely watched and that Westfield return for at least one more hearing before the first phase of construction begins on the $800 million project. Meantime, the proposal will continue on to its next paper work stop: the City Council’s Planning and Land Use Management (PLUM) committee.
