This series of Monday night screenings will highlight the role played by women in campaigns to stop police brutality, defend ethnic studies in Arizona. There will also be films illustrating women who are fighting charter schools. All screenings will start at 7:00pm and will be followed by a discussion and be held at at Solidarity Hall, 2122 West Jefferson Blvd. in Los Angeles
The Monday night screening schedule includes:
December 3, “Every Mother’s Son†tackles police brutality; December 10, “Precious Knowledge†centers on the Arizona ethnic studies battle;
December 17, “The Inconvenient Truth About Waiting for Superman†, focuses on public school privatization.
Donation requested of $2 per screening and $5 for hearty snacks served at 6:30 pm. Disabled accessible.
